M&S Bank Arena and Convention Centre
M&S Bank Arena (previously ACC Liverpool) is located on the famous Liverpool waterfront, conveniently situated just a two minute walk from our Liverpool Hotel. With facilities to accommodate over 10,000 visitors, the M&S Bank Arena is a thriving hub of entertainment from boxing to comedy and concerts. Take a look at ‘What’s on’ for upcoming events.
The Convention Centre facilities include a 1,350 seat auditorium, 18 breakout rooms, and up to 7000m2 of exhibition space, so whether you are organising a large event, or simply visiting an exhibition, the convention centre is the number one stop for events in Liverpool.

Liverpool is the perfect place for a family getaway, offering many exciting activities for kids. Some of Liverpool’s best family-friendly attractions are:
Spring City – spend an afternoon at Spring City, a trampoline park with around 100 trampolines suitable for children aged 4 and over. There’s also a café to grab a bite to eat
World Museum – this is a family-focused museum full of artefacts from around the world
Maritime Museum – a fascinating museum featuring trails and exhibits, perfect for children to enjoy

Culture
World Museum:
Liverpool’s World Museum offers a great day out for all. Explore the aquarium, Clore natural history centre, bug house, world cultures, ancient world, dinosaurs, space and much, much more! The museum also runs free shows in the Planetarium and Treasure House Theatre. Tickets can be picked up at the information desk, but it is recommended to get them early as the shows run on a first come, first served basis.
Entry is free to the World Museum¸ which is open 10am until 5pm. The museum is a leisurely 20 minute walk from our hotel.
Merseyside Maritime Museum
Rich with Maritime history, the Merseyside Maritime Museum offers a fantastic day out filled with Liverpudlian heritage from the Titanic to the port, as well as acting as a “treasure house of architectural and mechanical invention.”
The museum is free to enter and open daily between 10am and 5pm. It is around a five minute walk to the museum (also situated on Albert Dock) from our Liverpool hotel.
Tate Liverpool
Tate Liverpool displays part of the national collection of British art from the 1500s to the present day. Housed in a converted warehouse in the Albert Dock, visitors can enjoy impressive art displays, as well as one of the finest examples of a nineteenth-century industrial building.
Tate Liverpool offer free entry, however special exhibitions may have a fee. The museum is open 10am until 5pm every day with last entry at 4 pm. Situated on Liverpool’s waterfront at Albert Dock, Tate Liverpool is under a ten minute walk from our hotel.
International Slavery Museum
The first of its kind, the International Slavery Museum tells the story of African slavery, highlighting the “resilience and survival against all the odds” providing “a testament to the unquenchable nature of the human spirit.”
This museum takes visitors on a journey of education, understanding and greater awareness on “the international importance of slavery, both in a historic and contemporary context”, making this museum a Liverpool must-see.

Walker Art Gallery
The National Gallery of the North, The Walker Art Gallery has an internationally important collection of art from the 13th century to present day. Rich in European Old Masters, Victorian and Pre-Raphaelite pictures and modern British works, it houses work by the masters Rubens, Rembrandt, Poussin, Gainsborourgh and Hogarth.
Walker Art Gallery is open 10am until 5 pm daily with free entry. There is a café available for those wanting to sit with coffee or grab a bite to eat. The gallery is a leisurely 25 minute walk from our hotel in Liverpool.

Days Out
Albert Dock
Home to the fantastic ‘The Beatles Story’ experience, Albert Dock offers a unique selection of stylish bars, restaurants and shops, as well as being a hub of tourist attractions on Liverpool’s charming waterfront. We recommend ‘Nature’s Treasure’ (which is filled with unusual knick knacks and jewellery) for shopping and ‘The Pump House’ for food.
Albert Dock sits just a four minute walk from our Liverpool hotel, offering guests a prime location to enjoy one of Liverpool’s top attractions.
The Beatles Story
Experience the greatest pop story the world has ever known in the city where it all began! The Beatles Story is told in 18 separate features including the streets of Hamburg, a full-size replica of the Cavern Club (complete with basement smells!) and a walk-through Yellow Submarine in underwater setting. The Beatles Story is open 9/10am to 6/7pm depending on season.
The ultimate experience ticket costs £15.95 for an adult ticket and £9 for children. This ticket includes ‘The Beatles Story’ and ‘Elvis and Us’ (Elvis’ influence on the Beatles) exhibitions, as well as the ‘Discovery Zone and Fab 4D’ experience. The ‘Discovery Zone and Fab 4D’ experience is a great option if you’re visiting with children, just bear in mind that the Fab 4D is actually at Pier Head, which is just a short walk from the Albert Dock.
Spaceport:
Liverpool’s Spaceport offers a fabulous day out that is both educational and fun for all the family. The Spaceport has a range of themed galleries that provide hands-on exhibits and experiences that take you on a journey through space.
The experience costs just £9 per adult and £6.00 per child, and opening times are between 10am-3pm on weekdays and 10am-5pm on weekends with last admissions and hour and half before closing time.
You can catch the River Explorer Cruise from Pier head (16 minute walk from Leonardo Hotels) to Seacombe Ferry Terminal. The journey takes around 30 minutes, or, alternatively, you can catch a direct 10 minute service during peak times.
There are also a range of attractions along the River Explorer Cruise that allow you to ‘make a day of it’ on the river, take a look at the timetable,Cruise route and activities. Prices vary depending on which activities you decide to do - combined tickets are available.
The Wheel of Liverpool:
The Wheel of Liverpool is a fantastic city attraction and it’s about a minute away from Leonardo hotel Liverpool! Enjoy breath-taking panoramic views of Liverpool’s waterfront, docks and city as you climb 60 metres in a glass capsule.
These fantastic views can be enjoyed day or night with the wheel opening between 10am-9pm Monday to Thursday, 10am-11pm on Fridays, 9am-11pm Saturdays and 9am-8pm on Sundays.
Children under three ride for free, ages 4-16 cost £6.50, and adult tickets come in at £9.00.
Curious about tours:
Liverpool is bursting with history, culture and heritage for you to explore. If you’re travelling with children, the “Curious about…” tours offer a fun and interactive way to learn all about Liverpool.
Liverpool 1 offers two walks. The first is about 1.5 miles and covers Museums, Music and Culture. The second is a little a shorter at around 1.1 miles and takes you down to the river Port and Docks.
Liverpool 2: If Liverpool 1 hasn’t caught your fancy, Liverpool 2 also offers two walks. Walk one takes you through the ‘streets soaked in history’ and includes two cathedrals, covering 1.25 miles of Liverpool’s city centre. Walk two is around 0.75 miles and also includes the cathedrals, but takes you through St Luke’s ‘bombed-out church’ (WWII) and the Chinese Arch.
The tours cost £3.99 each to download and £4.50 + p&p to buy as a booklet. There is no ticket office to check in with, so you can start whenever you are ready!
Knowsley Safari Park
Enjoy a 5 mile safari through 450 acres of historic parkland containing lions, tigers, rhinos and a spectacular herd of elephants. Enjoy this immersive experience all from the comfort of your own vehicle! Knowsley Safari Park is only a short 20 minute drive from our hotel in Liverpool and admission costs £16.50 for adults, and £12.50 for children.
Chinese Arch
Located on Nelson Street, this awesome arch was shipped from Shanghai bit by bit to form the largest imperial arch outside of China. Painted in vibrant red and green, it stands over fifty feet tall. The Chinese Arch is a leisurely 20 minute walk from Leonardo Hotel Liverpool.
Doctor Who: Worlds of Wonder
Running from May to October 2022, this exhibition will allow visitors to engage with original artefacts, sets and much more – must-see for any fan of Doctor Who and science enthusiasts too.
